University of Québec

The University of Québec is offering an area of 500m2 on the roof of their building at 4750 Henri-Julien in the Plateau Mont-Royal district of Montréal for our use this season, with Mme. Lise Parent (professor of environmental studies) overseeing the project. Situated on the roof of a university, the garden will be well placed to serve as a model for other educational structures, private and public alike.

The City of Montréal

A financial partner for the project, the Social and Community Development service of the City of Montréal aims to promote urban rooftop food production. This partnership will facilitate our interaction with other municipal services and will help promote this type of gardening among funders to ensure further development and support of urban agriculture and greening initiatives.
